In a rare demonstration of commitment and innovation, leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Company, MTN Nigeria has partnered with 10 lucky subscribers to enable them track and keep their New Year resolutions that were made using the My 2015 BetterMe app.
The MTN My2015BetterMe application enables customers achieve more by providing access to information around healthy lifestyles, self improvement programmes, education, public holidays, prophesies for the year and security, amongst others.
Using the 2015 Resolution feature on the app, MTN subscribers were encouraged at the beginning of the year to upload their 2015 resolutions.
Speaking at the presentation of winners of the initiative, Bayo Adekanmbi, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, expressed the company's willingness to demonstrate its values while keeping its promises to exceed customers' expectations and set bench marks in helping them become better people. According to Adekanmbi, "we are celebrating people that we would call the better me generation. People who have codified their aspirations through MTN and are willing to go the extra mile to become better".
Continuing, he said, "We are happy that some people took the challenge seriously and trusted MTN as a partner in their quest to become better. This explains why we have gone the extra mile of picking people randomly whose resolution mean a lot to us and can provide inspiration to other people, partnered with them and make their resolutions become reality."
One of the winners, Amarachi Ahaneku, a young entrepreneur who lives in Osogbo had made a resolution to expand her food packaging business and attend relevant courses that would help sharpen her skills.
"When a big company like MTN says that they want to help you achieve your New Year resolutions, it makes me very grateful to God and makes me very happy. Beyond the joy in my heart, I am also happy because their involvement will make a very big difference in my business. I see my business taking a great leap as a result of this partnership," Amarachi said.
Quincy Ayemere whose resolution is to save a certain amount of my salary, no matter how little and to serve my God with all my heart and substance will enjoy the services of a financial consultant to help you with savings fully paid for by MTN.
Steven Emmanuel who wants to be an expert in Computer programming before the end of the year will be attending a computer course in programming.
Funmi Ayowole who needs to reach and maintain her weight at 55kg is getting a 6 months gym membership from MTN to enable her reach her desired weight.
